<p class="MsoPlainText">The ARC Training Centre in Biodevices at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne Australia has 10 PhD scholarships on offer for motivated and capable students to enter its advanced PhD program
<span lang="EN">designed to develop future leaders in the medical device industry. Participants will be outstanding students drawn from the disciplines of engineering, science, medicine, design and ICT, or recent graduates with relevant business or technology
 innovation experience.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="background:white"><span lang="EN" style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Students will have the opportunity to participate in a structured three year PhD program that links their core research activities with skills development
 in areas relevant to the medical device industry. Students will spend at least one third of their time within industry environments. In addition, students will also have the opportunity to take units from Swinburne’s Masters in Entrepreneurship and Innovation
 during their first year.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="background:white"><span lang="EN" style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">With respect to neural engineering, potential projects lie in the applications of the development of software and/or hardware for electroencephalography-based
 depth of anaesthesia monitoring, such as dry electrodes, or the development of implantable bionic devices to better diagnose and treat epilepsy.
