Dear Colleagues,
<br>
<br>
We would like to announce an interdisciplinary research topic in the
journal "Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience" titled:
<br>
<br>
<b>"Neuromechanics and control of physical behavior: From
experimental and computational formulations to bio-inspired
technologies"
</b><br>
<br>
Please visit the Research Topic page for further details on the
scope, and instructions for abstract submissions:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://journal.frontiersin.org/researchtopic/4698">http://journal.frontiersin.org/researchtopic/4698</a><br>
<br>
Important Dates:
<br>
Abstract submission until: 31.07.2016
<br>
Manuscript submission until: 31.12.2016
<br>
<br>
This topic is intended to bring together research on the
neuromuscular control and biomechnical aspects of physical behavior
in humans and animals. This combined view enables new basic science
directions by understanding the interrelations between movement
neural and mechanical function. This multidisciplinary approach can
also be leveraged for the development of personalized wearable
technologies to augment or restore the motor capabilities of healthy
or impaired individuals. In keeping with this broad context, we
encourage submissions from researchers working at the intersection
of neuroscience, biomechanics and robotics.
<br>
<br>
The field of Frontiers in Neuroscience (which includes the journal
Computational Neuroscience) is the most cited and largest Open
Access publisher of Neuroscience. Research Topic submissions will
receive a discount of 15% on the Open Access publishing fees.
<br>
<br>
We look forward to your contributions and to furthering this
interdisciplinary dialogue.
<br>
<br>
Best Regards,
<br>
