<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">SMART</b><i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">START</i> into Computational Neuroscience?
<br>

We invite first and second-year Master students with a background in fields such as physics, mathematics, biology, computer sciences, engineering, psychology or medicine to apply to our joint training program
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">SMART</b><i style="mso-bidi-font-style:
normal">START</i>. The program aims at complementing previous studies with concepts, theories and techniques of Computational Neuroscience.
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">SMART</b><i style="mso-bidi-font-style:
normal">START</i> consists of two programs. Both of them last one year and take place at numerous locations of the Bernstein Network throughout Germany. <br>
<br>
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">SMART</b><i style="mso-bidi-font-style:
normal">START</i> 1 aims at current first year second-year Master students. It provides financial support to attend supplementary courses and training visits at participating
institutions. Students will receive an experienced faculty mentor who will advise and guide them at this educational stage.<br>
<br>
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">SMART</b><i style="mso-bidi-font-style:
normal">START</i> 2 aims at current second year master students, who will have achieved a master's degree by October 2018 and who intend to start a PhD project. Participants
will be financially supported to thoroughly plan and prepare a collaborative PhD project between two labs. The program provides a 65% employment for 12 months as well as personal travel allowance for lab vistis and courses.

Both <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">SMART</b><i style="mso-bidi-font-style:
normal">START</i> programs will commence October 2018. The application deadline is
<b>Wednesday, February 28, 2018</b>.<br>
