[2009-program-committee] Congress Speakers Status

Dear Program Committee members,

I am very happy to announce that we now have confirmed all 6 keynote speakers! The last person to accept was Alon Halevy from Google. So after two years of trying we finally got our Google man!

Attached you find an updated excel-sheet of speakers. Please make sure to circulate names with the program committee before inviting them to avoid double invitations and multiple people from the same lab etc.

Brief update:

·         WS 1 is still waiting for word from Ad Aertsen and also needs to identify a 3rd speaker. I still need an abstract and images for this workshop.

·         WS 2 has 2 or possibly 3 confirmed speakers. I still need an abstract and images.

·         WS 3 is in the process of inviting their 3rd and final speaker, Peter Hunter.

·         WS 4 has invited Mario Campolargo. I still need images.

·         WS 5 has 1 or possibly 2 confirmed speakers and is waiting for word from Rosalyn Moran. I still need an abstract and images.



As you all know, time is running short, so please see to it to suggest, invite and confirm the last bunch of speakers as soon as possible.
