[Incf-ocns-software-wg] INCF/OCNS Software WG: request for feedback on Simselect and upcoming meetings

Dear all,

We hope you are well. A quick update on the workings of the WG, and
opportunities for involvement:

- the Simselect taskforce is happy to report that the tool is now ready
  for use here: https://ocns.github.io/simselect/

  Simselect is a web application to help people get a quick overview of
  all the simulation tools that the community uses, and to help people
  see the relationships between them. The idea is to help people decide
  what tools are appropriate for use for a modelling project.


  This is the first release, and the taskforce are looking for feedback.
  So please do take a look and report issues/ideas/comments here on
  GitHub: https://github.com/OCNS/simselect/issues/37

- We are looking to restart the monthly meetings and talks. We hope to
  have one in October.

  For these, we generally invite someone (usually that is involved in
  developing tools/infrastructure/resources for neuroscience) to talk to
  us about their work in the first 30-45 minutes, after which we have a
  general discussion about any working group business.

  If you develop a tool/resource for the community, or know anyone that
  does, we would love to hear about it. Please get in touch with us and
  we can schedule you in.
