[Neuro-2008-committee] Complete keynote speaker list

Dear program committee,

 

It is my pleasure to announce to you that we now have confirmed the
participation of all six required keynote speakers! They are:

 

David van Essen

Mark Ellisman

Mary Kennedy

Mitsuo Kawato

Henry Markram

Idan Segev

 

We are preparing a short text as well as pictures of the speakers and their
work. I will contact the speakers shortly, welcoming their participation and
asking for comments on text and pictures before we publish it on the
congress web page. I also hope they can provide us with a preliminary
seminar title. This goes for the workshop speakers as well. When text,
pictures and titles are in place, the congress web page will be considerably
reshaped. 

 

With all keynote speakers in place, we could actually start shaping the
program. What are your thoughts on what order the keynote speakers, and
indeed the workshops, should be arranged in time? Do we want each half day
to start with a keynote, followed by a workshop, or the other way around? I
could make a first program draft based on what input I receive now, and let
you have a look.
