[Neuroinfo] 3-year ESR Marie Curie training position ("PhD") to develop the Neurophysiological Biomarker Toolbox for M/EEG diagnostics

One ESR Marie Curie training position is available at the Department of Integrative Neurophysiology at
the Center for Neurogenomics and Cognitive research (www.cncr.nl) VU University Amsterdam in the
team of Klaus Linkenkaer-Hansen within the Innovative Doctorate Program CognitionNet.
The aim is to develop multivariate data-integration tools for characterization, classification or prediction of
physiological and cognitive states using the Neurophysiological Biomarker Toolbox (NBT; http://nbtwiki.net/).

Qualifications:
At the date of appointment, candidates must have obtained, or finalize within 5 months, a Master's
(M.Sc.) degree. For selection of the applicant we will look into the relevance of the applicant's research to
the doctoral program he or she is applying for, earlier research achievements, and the motivation letter. Please note the special Eligibility criteria (http://www.cncr.nl/jobs/)
Profile:

*   Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer science, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, or Physics.

*   Strong programming experience in at least one: Java, Matlab, C/C++ (please provide details of projects done in cv). Experience with database design is preferred.

*   Strong background in statistics and mathematics. Knowledge of data-mining or signal processing would be a plus.
