Biomedical Software Engineer

Employment Type: Full-time
Duration: 12 month fixed-term appointment, renewable
Remuneration: $82,228 - $90,189 pa HEW Level 07
(includes 9.25% employer superannuation)
As the Biomedical Software Engineer, you will draw on substantial experience, knowledge and expertise in web development to provide specialist research support towards research in relation to mapping the neuronal connectivity of the monkey brain.
Working in collaboration with a team from the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, USA, the key focus of the role will be to plan, develop, implement and maintain a web portal for high-resolution brain image data and associated metadata.
Whilst the position is based at Monash University, Clayton campus, there will be a requirement for travel and stay for collaborative work at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories, New York, USA.
As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated practical knowledge and experience of web development as well as database design and management. This should be demonstrated by websites previously developed wholly or in part.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
