Dear Colleagues,
We are organizing an Imaging Genomics<http://psb.stanford.edu/callfor/papers/cfp-imaging/> session for Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing (PSB)<http://psb.stanford.edu/>, which will be held on January 3-7, 2017 at the Fairmont Orchid on the Big Island of Hawaii. We would like to invite you to consider submitting your work to the PSB 2017 Session on Imaging Genomics. If you know of any people working in this field, feel free to circulate this email to them. Thanks in advance for your consideration and help.
Imaging genomics is an emerging research field, where integrative analysis of imaging and omics data is performed to provide new insights into the phenotypic characteristics and genetic mechanisms of normal or disordered biological structures and functions, and to impact the development of new diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive approaches. This session aims to encourage discussion on fundamental concepts, new methods and innovative applications in this young and rapidly evolving field.
Topics include but are not limited to:
· Heritability analysis of imaging phenotypes
· Genetic association study of imaging phenotypes
· Integration of imaging and genomics data for biomarker discovery
· Genetic interaction study of imaging phenotypes
· Meta analysis in imaging genomics
· Pathway or network analysis in imaging genomics
· Systems biology in imaging genomics
· Machine learning in imaging genomics
· Genomics of multimodal imaging phenotypes
· Multi-omics analysis of imaging phenotypes
· Bioinformatics strategies for molecular or genomic imaging
· Predictive modeling via integrative imaging genomics
· Translational imaging genomics
· Novel clinical applications in imaging genomics
Important dates are:
· Paper submissions due: August 1, 2016
· Notification of paper acceptance: September 12, 2016
· Camera-ready final paper due: October 3, 2016
· Deadline for poster abstracts: November 14, 2016
· PSB 2017: January 3-7, 2017
Paper Format: Papers should be limited to 12 pages (not including the cover letter) and formatted according to the instructions at http://psb.stanford.edu/psb-online/psb-submit/.
Proceedings: The core of the conference consists of rigorously peer-reviewed full-length papers reporting on original work. All accepted papers will be published electronically and indexed in PubMed, and the best of these will be presented orally to the entire conference.
Poster abstract: Researchers wishing to present their research without official publication are encouraged to submit a one-page abstract by the abstract deadline listed above to present their work in the poster sessions.
Detailed session information is available at http://psb.stanford.edu/callfor/papers/cfp-imaging/.
