*Junior Specialist, Step I-II – Neuroscience – Molecular and Cell Biology*

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to assist in carrying out
original research using state-of-the-art single cell genomics and
CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing technologies, with the goal of characterizing
cellular diversity in the mammalian brain as part of a recently funded
BRAIN Initiative award. The successful candidate will participate in this
exciting project by applying cutting-edge CRISPR/Cas9 genome engineering
techniques to genetically label newly discovered cell types in mouse
transgenic models. This individual will be an integral member of a dynamic,
multidisciplinary team of neuroscientists, molecular biologists, genomics
technologists, mouse geneticists, statisticians and computer scientists to
develop and deploy new technologies for creating novel tools to identify
and analyze the function of cell types in the mammalian brain.
