As Publisher, I am currently considering applications for the role of Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology. I look forward to hearing from interested researchers.

The current Editors, Seung-Schik Yoo and Emily Stern, have given many years of excellent service to the journal and have decided to step down in at the end of 2017. We are now seeking applications for this position with International Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology.

A peer-reviewed, ISI-listed journal with an impact factor of 1.39, International Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology is a forum for the exchange of ideas and results relevant to imaging systems and their applications in the field of Neuroscience.

The successful candidate will be recognized as a leading member of the community and will have an impressive track record of publications and conference presentations arising from research and scholarship.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and knowledge:

  *   Broad experience of working internationally in neuroimaging.
  *   A background in research and education, and the ability to support authors with their publishing

  *   objectives.
  *   Sound scientific judgment.
  *   Awareness of trends within knowledge dissemination.
  *   Awareness of international ethics and standards for journal publishing.
  *   Excellent written and verbal communication, and computer literacy.
The main functions within this role are: strategic development, manuscript handling and quality control (including working with authors), and journal promotion. Applicants should note that this position requires a weekly commitment of time. The Editor can be based in any international location.
Applications should include a curriculum vitae, a short assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of International Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology, and an accompanying letter outlining the skills you would bring to this position.
