It is our great pleasure to announce the Eighth International Symposium
on Biology of Decision Making (SBDM), which will take place in Paris on
May 21-23th 2018.
Registration and abstract submission for poster presentation are now
open at http://sbdm2018.isir.upmc.fr/.
A novelty this year: online payment of registration fees through paypal
is now possible. Alternative payment methods still include bank
transfer, French bancal check and institutional “bon de commande”.
The deadline for poster submission is: April 15^th 2018. The deadline
for registration is: May 8^th 2018. Registration fees (170 euros)
include lunches, coffee breaks and social event.
Please circulate widely and encourage your colleagues and team members
to attend.

PRESENTATION:
The Eighth International Symposium on Biology of Decision Making will
take place on May 21-23, 2018 in Paris, France. The objective of this
three day symposium is to gather people from different research fields
with different approaches (economics, ethology, psychiatry, neural and
computational approaches) to decision-making. The symposium will be a
single-track, will last for 3 days and will include 6 sessions:

robotics approaches) to decision making.
The conference will include 6 sessions:
"Learning about the structure of the world to make decisions" (Chair:
Chris Summerfield);
"Constructing and deconstructing subjective value" (Chair: Lesley Fellows);
"The neuroscience of moral decision-making" (Chair: Miriam Teschl);
"Decision-making across cultures and species" (Chair: TBD);
"Dealing with uncertainty: exploration and curiosity" (Chair: TBD);
"Development and decision-making" (Chair: TBD);
