One PhD and one postdoctoral positions are available under the supervision of Timothée Proix (https://timothee.proix.ch) in the Auditory Language Group led by Prof. Anne-Lise Giraud (https://neurocenter-unige.ch/research-groups/anne-lise-giraud) at the University of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland. The project aims at developing a large-scale model of speech production using intracranial EEG data, and lies at the interface between data analysis, dynamical systems modeling, and machine learning.
*Postdoctoral position. *The candidate will contribute to acquisition and analysis of intracranial EEG data and speech recordings. Applicants should have solid bases in maths/physics/bioengineering, prior experience in electrophysiological recordings and data analysis, as well as programming and machine learning skills.
*P**hD** position. *The candidate will develop theoretical tools using dynamical systems theory to model neural activity during speech production. Applicants should hold a master degree in maths/physics/informatics/engineering. Previous experience in dynamical systems modeling, neuroscience, and programming will be valued.
The research will be performed at the campus Biotech in the university of Geneva, a vibrant and stimulating environment for neuroscience research. The positions are funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, and salaries are in compliance with their guidelines.
