Special Session on New Business Models for Personal Mental Health in Big
Data Era
*****************
Venue: Imperial College London, London, UK
Time: Aug 30, 2015
Website:

*****************
*Workshop Theme:*
Technology is allowing the acquisition of unprecedented information related
to individuals’ mental health, emotional wellbeing and resilience as well
as the provision of novel methods of mental disease treatment. However, to
date, much of the research has been overly focused on the technical
domains, and despite the critical role that businesses play within the
development of mental healthcare, the impact upon society and humans has
received relatively little attention. This special session of BIH will
provide a space where the business and technology (especially Big Data
technology) of personalised mental healthcare meet. We are interested in
discussing how to leverage the opportunities offered by recent
technological advancements in order to build new business models that
provide improved mental health services for both healthy subjects and
diagnosed patients.
*Topics:*
* Business models for personal / wearable / ubiquitous services for
non-diagnosed people with mental health concerns
* Big data driven mental healthcare services and applications (deep
learning, behaviour change)
* Social networks, social media for mental health assessment and awareness
* Applications and their business models for specific mental diseases
* Commercial, social, and governmental mental healthcare services models
* WaaS (Wisdom as a Service) and active SaaS services for mental healthcare
* Screenless and slow or adaptive media solutions for Evidence-Based Social
Interventions
*Organizers:*
Prof. Yike Guo, Imperial College London, UK
Dr. Chao Wu, Imperial College London, UK
Dr. David Lopez Berzosa, University of Surrey, UK
Dr. David Plans, University of Surrey, UK
*Important Dates:*
* Submission of full papers: June 6, 2015
* Notification of acceptance of full papers: June 16, 2015
* Submission of abstracts: July 20, 2015
*Full Paper & Abstract Submission:*
Please use the following link to submit your full paper or abstract:

The symposium accepts both full paper and abstract paper (Type II)
submissions. Authors of contributions presented at our session are also
invited to submit extended papers to the possible special issue on Brain
Informatics journal (http://www.springer.com/computer/ai/journal/40708). We
hope that feedback gathered during the session will be useful when
preparing journal submissions.
TYPE-I:
We accept full paper submissions with a maximum paper length of up to 10
pages, in Springer LNCS format:
http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-793341-0.
TYPE-II:
Each abstract is limited to 500 words. Experimental research is
particularly welcome. Accepted abstract submissions will be included in the
conference program, and will be published as a single, collective
proceedings volume.
